Cascais EYCA Day #Three

The first full day of the EYCA Conference, including welcoming speeches from the Secretary of State for Youth and Sport in Portugal and the Commissioner for the City of Cascais European Youth Capital 2018.

We had such fantastic speakers and workshops throughout the day - it was fantastic to see our delegates so energised by the topics and discussions. A particular highlight was hearing of the work of Funky Citizens in Romania - focussing on “civic fitness”; democracy and transparency. Their engagement tools and ideas were so inspirational.

Dinner this evening was hosted by the Municipality of Cascais - the first time I’ve actually set foot in the place since I got here as our hotel is on the outskirts! On the way we stopped to admire the spectacular view!
