Nesting Swan

We were invited to visit a friend from Guy's apprenticeship days, back in the 1950s, who lives near Boroughbridge. After lunch he took us to a local nature reserve for a walk. As we were looking for other interesting birds the swan popped its head up for a look around. Previously he/she had been completely hidden in grass.
