Pheasants Crossing

By Clarence

Only in London

Fabby final day in London today. We had planned on cycling along the Thames on the Boris bikes, but in typical British style, it rained all day.

Instead we went to Columbia Road Flower Market, which was amazing, just like a scene from Oliver Twist, cheeky London chaps trying to sell us red roses! We also stopped off at a wee 60's salon for some champagne and gin cocktails, in vintage teacups naturally, then had some potted prawns from a street vendor, and of course made some purchases from the gorgeous wee boutiques (including crystal egg cups).

On our way out of the market we passed a sausage dog in a Barbour jacket (adore) and then jumped back on the tube and headed to Oxford Street for some more retail therapy. Such a tiring day, so later we headed to Leicester Square for a lovely pub meal (getting accidentally lost on the way there and landing up at Buckingham Palace), then for a wee jaunt through China Town, and finally to Clapham to see J, my old Edinburgh pal.

The cherry that topped off the day, was getting back to A's and finding out she had passed her exams! Brilliant.

9 hour bus journey back to Glasgow now. Disgusting.
