Silage making at Castle Camps - Part 2

Today being Friday we did the usual Sainsbury's trip for the weeks shopping and on the way back went the pretty way through Castle Camps. We were just in time to see the farmer chopping up and carting off yesterdays cut grass for silage. A different tractor today, a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron X720 powering a Reco Mengele silage harvester and pulling the collecting trailer.

And for you tractor lovers... the extra is a John Deere 8430, these were manufactured between 1975 and 1978 so it's at least 40 years old. I was a young man in the Army when this was new!
