Thick Legged Flower Beetle
This beautiful shimmering beetle has rather a disappointing name, but its alternative name is False Oil Beetle (Oedemera nobilis). The male, which this is, has swollen hind femora whereas the female does not. It is a pollen eater and can be found in western and southern Europe and in southern England up as far as North Wales and the Wash. I can't find any more interesting information at the moment!
