Laney's first swim

Laney loves to walk in Bear Creek every week, and she loves to splash in the ocean when we go to the dog beach in Del Mar, CA. But we have never seen her in deep water until today. We went to a nearby dog friendly reservoir.

At first she walked in and then turned back, but when I threw in a stick, out she went. As it got too deep to walk, she started to paddle then quickly turned back without the stick. Once she realized she was safe, she went back out and loved it! She was the only dog there who wagged her tail while swimming.

Now we have a new weekly activity!
