Standing out

A very busy day today - after a very late night last night early morning - so haven't really ventured too far afield or had a great deal of creativity to work with ... 

Fortunately this contrasty scene presented itself, and, as I had hoped, it turned out pretty well in mono ...

Having said that, using an interesting lens today, it's a U.S.S.R Jupiter 11 ( circa 1976 ! A little older than I am - although I do have to say, in much better condition ! ) 135mm f/4. It's an absolutely beautiful piece of engineering, and if I didn't know better would say that it was brand new.
