Flying cone - AT154

I discovered the cones in one of our fir trees are ripening well. They have these little green tips (the wing tips of their seeds) which with the solarising treatment and the shallow DoF look a little like birds or butterflies with spread wings. Made me think a bit of Escher's prints with birds turning into something else .
