30 Days Wild - 7 - Silene dioica

Dear Diary, what a day it's been! (Yes, I'm a Moody Blues fan.)

It was time to have my hair trimmed and blow-dried. Very nice to feel pampered. So a relaxing morning then came our garden centre afternoon which was a treat with The Man and The Bro-in-Law, even though I didn't actually need anything, having been there on Monday.

Today marked the beginning of the end of Swift Adventures! On the way back from our World Tour of Scotland our little 2-berth caravan lost a roof light. The cost of replacing it, and the other one which will be equally weak would be almost as much as we paid for the caravan. When we were in Carlisle on Monday we came across a caravan dealer and ventured in to look.

We fell in love with a Compass Kensington and hadn't been able to get it out of our minds so we went back for another look today which resulted in us leaving a deposit.

Busy evening ahead emptying the Swift ready to take it to the breakers tomorrow. We were lucky to get a little bit of time wild looking for our blips. This is mine, Silene dioica. These red campions are growing in a large area of grassland in a local churchyard which has been left uncut to give nature a chance.
