Bonfire night sunset

For a brief moment just now (4.30pm) this was the glorious sky I spied from my desk. Various other blip opportunities have come my way today but they may also appear tomorrow. This picture seemed more appropriate somehow.

Well, I waved goodbye to John and Annie this morning..... managed to do it without blubbing, which is pretty good for a daft old fool like me. To be fair they waved me goodbye as I shot off to work. They will have left the house by the time I get home as they are headed for a hotel near Heathrow, in readiness for their early flight home tomorrow morning.

I suspect we will think we have both gone deaf this evening, without John's booming, running commentary of everything that occurs!
Having said that we are going to miss them both dreadfully, it has been a joy to have them stay with us.

I am looking foward to stretching out on the sofa this evening and relaxing.
