Wednesday...This Week in Wood

Knowing that I still had a fairly big Little League project ahead of me, I called my little sister last night...and begged, pleaded, and cajoled her into coming over today and helping me. She is very crafty, and she graciously consented.

11 of these home plate plaques we painted, right down to the color details on their bats and their shoes. The two of us worked for about 6 and a half hours, with daughter Karen joining us for a short time. With my pictures ready to be picked up, and this project nearly finished, it takes the pressure off, and now I can just enjoy the last 10 days of the season.

Delicate and tedious work, but always gratifying to get a job done. Many thanks to my sister Lisa for the assist (and for posing for my blip.) WOO-HOO!
