Dead Man’s Fingers

When getting caching in the forest today we came across these mushroom on a rotting stump right next to a cache. I immediately knew it reminded me of Xylaria polymorpha I saw on Instagram the other day. It does look like a zombie hand coming out from the ground ;-) Happy Wild Wednesday dear blippers!
