Aerial Ballet

This Thick Legged Flower Beetle ( yes, it's really called that ) was jumping for joy after finding a plethora of Common Orchids ( see second extra) in the community orchard .......first extra shows him just before take off ;-)))

The community orchard is looking lovely (see third extra), someone has done loads of work tidying up the edges, pruning the trees where necessary and mowing the spaces between the trees to make walkways.........this means people can walk around and see the masses of wild orchids that are growing in the long grass under the trees. It was so quiet there ( except for the birds singing and the bees buzzing) and was really pleasant to spend a half hour or so just wandering around in the lovely sunshine ........I will visit again :-))
