The Bumble Bees have moved in!

We have had this felted bird house hanging by our door for years. It was a gift that never attracted any nest seekers until this spring. I have noticed Bumble Bees near a hanging plant we have in the same covered entry area and thought they were just enjoying the blooms. Yesterday I saw a Bumble on the hanging bird nest and wondered, hmm, could they be nesting. T and i chatted about it last night and that was that. This morning I went out to start the Subaru and saw a strange wetness on the old French park chair we have beside the door. I looked up and saw that the bottom of the felted nest was soaked and there was a Bumble entering the hole. I have attempted to stop the drips, they tolerated my fiddling, we shall see what happens. They are so important to nature that I don't want to disturb them, but the mess is a bit much.

All hands love Bumble Bees so we feel a bit honored.
