DoF
Many months ago I had a ‘New Toy’ of close up bellows for taking macros, and wound up using our old (broken) Tamron 70-300 as a permanent fixture with the bellows.
The problem with the bellows is that there is no connection to control the aperture, so DoF becomes a major problem, as demonstrated in a 'disappointing' blip with a knife back in February. My thoughts then were to get a better ‘focus stacking’ program, but today I thought “Why not close the aperture manually?”
Today’s main blip is of the aperture motor carefully removed from the lens taken with the aperture closed right down (heaven knows what F stop it equates to), and the extra shows the motor beside (outside) the lens.
Altogether a successful day, especially as I managed to get the lens back together again!!!
Many thanks to JensPhotos for hosting Tiny Tuesday.
