Bringing in the Harvest

I have a feeling this could well be the last of the tomato harvest, which considering the date isn't too bad. These trailing basket tomatoes have been such a success this year and after major disasters every other year with the upright varieties I'd all but given up on the pesky things. Or growing them at any rate.

And in the little veggie plot here at home I now have the sum total of parsnips and some very weather damaged chillies. And fennel. And that's it.

But ....I have taken on an allotment plot which is currently undergoing a major dig to rid it of couch grass as it's been unworked for a year or so, and next year is going to be a non-stop deluge of fresh fruit and veg. I do hope so. 2013 could be also be awash with daily photo's of fruit and veg. And/or slugs and other pesky eaty things.
