The Scottish primrose - lower right of window

Part of the window over the entrance to the Cathedral in Kirkwall, bottom right is the Scottish Primrose, Primula scotica.

I had a haircut appointment in Kirkwall, a busy thriving salon with the soft accent coming through the hum of voices and as I was pampered John was dealing with the washing in a laundrette. What a hero. Later a visit to Tourist Information where the staff answered all our queries including where to find the Scottish primrose. We are travelling hopefully.
