'Les Colombes' (City of Doves)

Salisbury Cathedral's 2,500 white origami doves that float, fly, soar above the nave.

I'd been told by several that trying to do the scale of installation justice in a photo was impossible - red rag to a bull!

Whether I have succeeded or not, a chilly, very dull, slightly drizzly morning meant that quite a large queue were wanting to get inside at the time of opening, including many international educational groups. But because these paper marvels are always above your head, there was no problem getting shots without heads of people in too.

It must have been a huge, painstaking installation to, well, install and continues until July 22nd.
