An unexpected visitor

So I was at the small neighbouring lake taking snaps of flowers and bugs.. See extra snap and I was visited by a night heron. I have photographed him each year for the past 3 years but hadn't expected him so early.
Unexpected visitors can bring gifts. He made me stop what I was doing and wonder at his beauty. Carpe diem.
