Lal bhat

After a Saturday of flying and a wee nap, it was out for a wee while in Bangalore.
It is a changing city. A large project to build a metro out to Whitefield where a lot of the IT companies are based will ease traffic pressure but the challenge to improve general infrastructure such as roads and pavements will take a long time. With new people arriving constantly it will be interesting to see if the broken infrastructure will cope.
The city is now full of shopping malls selling high end brands and it is very clear that the distribution of wealth with the current economic growth will be a huge challenge in a country where the majority of the population still lives on less that $2 a day.
All that said, it was good to be back in India with its chaos and colour.
