Mayfly swarm.
Right on time... the first few days of June. After spending their lava form in Lake Erie, each summer these "pests" swarm in early summer, settling on walls, cars, roads, you, everywhere. Just like Fiordland sandflies except they don't bite. Apparently in a so called heavy year if they cover the roads when its wet and get squashed into a mush by the traffic, the smell is said to be pretty foul. fortunately for us last year was not like that...this year, its too early to tell.......
