Lisbon Day Seven

Breakfast round the corner, before heading out to the 'LX Factory'. JR had read about it. It was too far to walk, so we took a taxi. This cost about €5. Less than two bus tickets there and back.

The whole 'factory' consists of lots of wee shops and businesses in old warehouse type crumbling buildings. Lots of terrific graffiti (Extras 1&2) , and plenty of choice for eating. It was sort of like Camden Market, but more room to move. But the weekend is their busy time, so Mondays are a bit more laid back ie some shops weren’t open. But there was plenty to occupy a dedicated shopper like JR. Upstairs we could see the little offices and workshops of the small businesses.

We had a delicious 'Pick me up' drink - banana, coconut, peanut, chai and turmeric. JR had to pedal to make it. And still had to pay.

We decided on a sushi lunch. Haven’t had sushi for ages. And it was magnificent. And cheap. We had about 40 pieces, beers and desserts - I had the amazingly fabulous ice cream tempura, both of which were very generous portions (Extras 3&4).. All that for €30!

We rolled back into town in another taxi (the drivers are amazing - very fast, stopping for pedestrians and other drivers, and avoiding trams).

A bit of culture to finish the day. The taxi driver recommended the Museo do Dinheiro, but instead we went to the Museu da Cerveja. Well, the bar in the museum...

Tired out. Shopped out. Stuffed.

Home tomorrow. But what a marvellous city!
