Ailing
The rescued female has become feeble in her movements. The male is pestering her. She had gone to the other side of the greenhouse, but he followed her. Instead of fighting him off as she used to do, now she laboriously ambles away. Each time I go out to look at her the male is occupying the perch where I saw her last. I took him back to his side of the grapevine, but he probably won’t stay there.
Her belly is full so she’s not likely to be hungry. Perhaps the cold dank air is getting to her.
Isn’t it great that the Topp Twins have been made dames in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List? They are treasures. I wonder if Ken and Ken should now be addressed as “Sir.”
