Just keep swimming...

My ex got this button made and surprised me by putting it in my locker at school. I got quite emotional when I saw it because it means more to me than any gift he could give me.

See, just over a year ago, one of my close friends and mentors died unexpectedly in her sleep. She was an inspiration and role model to a whole group of girls from around the world who were suffering with eating disorders and other mental health issues. The day she died left a lot of us feeling very empty.

Anyway, the significance of the button is that she was always telling us to keep going no matter how tough things got because eventually it'll all get better. My ex knew how much she meant to me, and the fact that he remembered and that he did this for me is something I'll never forget.
