Rose Festival

Our city's tribute to all the beautiful roses growing here is beginning this week, the Portland Rose festival.
Today I went to the funeral of my childhood best friend's mother whom I have know for over sixty years. It was a happy time remembering her wonderful life and also a good time to catch up with some old friends.
