My Sister

I'm back on Cape Cod, where one of my biggest pleasures is spending time with my sister.  She, her husband and their son live here full-time.  We're only 13 months apart in age and she is my only sibling.  As children we were best friends.  We went our separate ways in our 20's.  She settled on the Cape, and I ended up in the Washington, DC area.  We have always gotten together every summer, and for the Christmas holiday.  Our lives were busy so we never saw each other as often as we would have liked.  Now I get to the Cape on a fairly regular basis, and we realize how important it is to have each other.  I took this photo of her today during a walk to the beach with our husbands.  This blip is for sisters everywhere.
