Excellent time with the very good people of Great Notley for their All-Age Commissioning Service this morning. Lots of people, lots of youth, lots of children, lots of smiling and a great sense of fun as this diverse, welcoming family meet together. This is a church that enjoys serving together, is growing quickly and, crucially, encourages all people to serve their community in so many ways. No wonder they are growing. The oldest member remembers the very first church service here, in a portakabin, nearly thirty years ago. The youngest was very young indeed and one and all are valued. What a great family they are.
