'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark
It's that time of year again.
The tent comes out. The holiday gets booked.
We pack the car... and we are off.
The highlands of Scotland were calling us... That is a big fat lie.
Loads of Beer, 2500 other campers, and great music was what attracted us. The fact that it's all situated in the most beautiful of parts of Scotland is a mega plus.
Loch Fyne, reached by a trail along Loch Lomond, up and round the Rest and Be Thankful (See Extra). By the Rest and Be Thankful - you've lost radio signal and telephone / internet / text lost for the weekend.
The Brewery sits at the head of Loch Fyne, a Sea Loch, so not really a loch at all. High mountains all round the valley - where the water flows down from the hills to assist in the brewery process.
2,500 tickets, hundreds of tents, hundreds of cars, motorhomes, caravans.
Music and beer from 4pm on Friday til 1 am... Music and beer from 11 am on the Saturday. Amazing grub, walks, people watching in the extreme.
We got in sharpish - there were only about 300 cars there and 100 tents. We got a spot by the tree and the river. We set up and sat down and started to watch.
Tent after tent arrived. When we awoke from a snooze - even more tents. Ridiculous costumes, kids from 12 weeks, to 80 year old adults. It's a real cross section of folk.
The beer is bloody fantastic too :-)
