When Fergus was Ploutering in Carskey Bay

18.4C and bright with low cloud or mist around. Light ESE/E/W/WNW breeze.

Grocery shopping.

We drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay.

No seals on the rocks at Kiel.
Gannets - flying, well offshore.
Terns - diving.
Ringed Plovers and Oystercatchers were decidedly absent.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and back. Fergus had a little paddle on his lead and about halfway along I let him off his lead, hoping he would play in the water. No. Not Fergus. He was off up to the dunes like a rocket and off he went along the path at the back of the dunes to get up to whatever he gets up to when he is out of sight. He pops out where the dunes end and either waits for us or comes back. Today he came back and at the last minute ran into the sea. When he was finished ploutering about I put his lead on and we walked further along. I let him off again to see if he would stay in the water, but he had another dash up the beach. No dunes left so he was soon back in the water and wandering back along to meet us. We had him back on his lead to walk back to the car. If he goes rocketing off to near the car park he might end up on the road.

Later Apothecary7 was printing things from lino cuts to add to a painting.
(this makes a collage - not to be mistaken, as it far to often is on Blipfoto, for photo montage !!!!)

BBC Radio2 was on in the background.
