Found Them !

After yesterdays downpours this morning has been gloriously hot, sunny and humid.I could almost smell things growing. Walking the river round I was told not to miss the 7 cygnets on the Cow Tower beach.  The river is quite tidal, with the tide down a sandy, gravely spot emerges where often dogs and children paddle. The Cygnets were resting in the sun on the gravel while both parents preened themselves. The Pen soon warned if folk got too near. I surprised myself shouting loudly at a big boisterous dog that bounded up. Both dog and owner were so surprised they stopped in their tracks & slunk off.
The tide came in so the cygnets were rounded up & they all sailed away.
