Uninvited guests!

We wondered why the children suddenly got very excited. Then saw the hens. They had come from next door. Maybe they could smell all the good food.

Have had a lovely day.
So nice to meet up with people we have not seen for ages, including one of my sister’s old school friends, who we haven’t seen for many years. She looked just the same, and said we did too!

Great food, and wine.
The enormous roasted vegetable quiche I made fortunately turned out fine. Just fitted in the oven.

The weather was kind to us and although not sunny it stayed dry and warm, so we were able to sit out in the garden all day.

Just had to add an extra photo of our favourite niece.
( Only one actually!)
She was bringing me another glass of pink bubbles!
