Picnic view
Painting walls and woodwork, a quick catch-up with Andrea after lunch, and then more painting. Progress is slow but sure!
Several changes of plan on MrM's part later this afternoon, and in the end we went to Alnwick to buy the things he needs for his squirrel duties, and also acquired more paint and did a supermarket shop while we were there. We bought food for a picnic, and on the way home found a handy bench near a lay-by and sat there to eat - this was our view. To the bottom left is Edlingham Viaduct and, beyond it, Edlingham Castle.
Near disaster when we got home! MrM dropped the plastic paint pot from all of 2 inches off the ground, and the plastic cracked - yellow paint splashed all over the gate, the pavement and MrM's shoes. Luckily, it was a hairline crack, and most of the paint stayed in the pot, which has since been 'duck taped' together! Could have been much worse...
