Deeply, Deeply Unexciting

Went to hang up washing last night only to discover that washing machine catch is broken and door won't open. Searched Utube for solutions. Tried all of them with no success. Spoke to Hotpoint to get engineer. 1st opportunity is next Wednesday (its under insurance) Do NOT wish wet laundry to be imprisoned in washing machine for SIX DAYS! Not impressed with Hotpoint customer services. So, in desperation (and some expense) have found local engineer who has visited, liberated wet laundry and repaired catch. Have done 4 loads of washing in Grans washing machine. have run up 12000 steps in doing so (partial hurray there I guess). 

Have also discovered that shed outside back door has flooded in recent rains. Will tackle that tomorrow (after picking US cousin up from T3). Sleep now essential.
