Today

Started a countdown app ages ago and, although I studiously avoided looking at it any more than infrequently, it has been ticking off the months, weeks and days in the background. I’ll delete it now, because choosing future life milestones to count towards, will eventually become a bit bleak. Instead, I plan to take every day I can draw breath and stand upright, and (soon) walk the beach with my sweetie, in the plus column .
