Rufus Stone

The supposed location of the "accidental" death of William (Rufus) II in 1100. The stone has been encased in this metal frame since the mid 1800's so as to avoid vandalism. So they had vandalism in the Victorian age as well it seems. We stopped here for a quick blip on the way back to Heathrow.
