Peekaboo
In view of a long journey home tomorrow we opted for a shorter trip today. A visit to the Northampton Burrows on the opposite side of the Torridge and Taw estuary to Braunton. The terrain was less wild being a country park and with a golf course close to Westward Ho and Appledore. The area is grazed by sheep and surprisingly horses. This pony was doing its best to hide next to an old tree trunk.
Following a good walk we had a wander around Appledore. Home to some colourful fishermen’s cottages and narrow cobbled streets. A good way to end the holiday.
Hoping to get an early start to try and avoid too many hold ups - particularly around Bristol.
