Rishton canal walk.
I went in search of the new family of cygnets on our part of the Leeds and Liverpool canal, but alas, they were not there. A few dog walkers had seen them recently, so I will try again another day. Seven cygnets have been sighted.
To my delight, I came across a mother duck, with a brood of ten little ducklings. The warmth was so intense I thought it could thunder, but it didn't thankfully.
When I got back home, Arthur was chilling in the garden and greeted me with a few welcoming miaows. I felt overwhelmed by the heat so I soaked my feet in a basin of water to cool down, as I composed my collage at the PC.
June has started on a good sunny note.
