Treeline in the sunset

This view hasn't been seen for probably half a century. Until very recently, a stand of eucalyptus stood in the way.

Noted for their shallow roots and propensity to topple over in high winds, the eucalyptus have now been cut down.

There's lots of firewood and mulch to be had. The view is a real bonus.
