"Aspens"

Another warm day, but with rain threatened for the afternoon, took the group to Crummock Water. Half-term festivities saw hoards with barbeques, flourescent-pink swimming rings, beach chairs etc. However, there were locations - even by Lanthwaite woods - that were devoid of people and still offered lots of good photo opportunities. 

I liked the simplicity of the silver birch shot as the main pic, as it reminded me of one of my favourite Ansel Adams pics (Aspens) 

The extra just had great clouds - and I liked the stillness of the reflections.
