Heartbreak

I had the weirdest day today. When I was leaving work, a torrential rain came down. I was stranded in half-empty parking lot, and could not find my car. A colleague saw me, and offered to give me a ride around till we find it. I got, soaking wet, into his cool 2-door sporty, r&b music blasting, and we drove about 150 feet and there was my car, obscured by a giant pick-up truck. I thanked my savior, got into my car, and the blasted thing wouldn't start. Called HD, who came to the rescue. The minute he pulled up by me, the car started. We drove home to discover a giant branch broke off in the storm from our magnificent maple tree on the front yard, and laid by the road. HD found a tree removal service on Google, they were there about 30 seconds later, and turned out to be our ex-student and her husband, driving by, on the way to yoga. You can't make this stuff up. Pure surrealism.
