Saxifrage

This beautiful plant started life in my ownership around 1995 when we bought a box of Alpines from a nursery in East Lothian - near East Fortune if I recall correctly.  It has survived transfers from there into four different addresses and is currently covering about one square metre.  It started as a tiny single root in a 2" brown plastic pot.

Now that's value for money.
