Male Common Blue butterfly.

I had a walk through the little nature reserve at the old RAF Little Walden fuel store this morning. A good place to see orchids of several kinds although all I could find this morning were some Common Spotted Orchids just starting to flower. Need to go back in a few days to try and find some Bee Orchids that usually grow there. The wild roses were out and there were dozens of Common Blue butterflies. Males were scattered about showing up very well against the green hoping to catch the attention of a passing female.

The extra are a Common Spotted Orchid and Wild Rose.
