Roast Chicken
Woke up this morning with a slightly fuzzy head after last nights firework celebrations. The wife cooked me a lovely breakfast and it was time to pick up the car, return a drill I recently bought (it was shite) and think about how to cook the chicken for tea. I decided on stuffing it with a lemon and onion, the filling the skin cavity with Rosemary, Sage, Thyme and Basil. Then I put a quick dash of Olive Oil in and seasoned with Sea Salt to crisp up the skin The wife then cut up some potatoes in big chunky chip style shapes, part boiled them and put them into the oven to bake with some mixed herbs on top. It was the nicest meal I have eaten in a long time, and the kids already want it again!
Also managed some more DIY today and now all the curtain poles and blinds are up in the living room. On the down side our boiler has sprung a leak, so looks like I will have a day off tomorrow unless the engineer turns up early enough!
