to Take up Residence
I was called to examine a swarm of bees that had been hanging around a house at Sulby.
By the time I arrived the swarm had made its way in to a nearby hollow tree. It had found itself a new home! Fortunately the owner had no objections and so here the bees will remain for as long as they want.
Although I have dealt with many swarms in my time, this is the first time I have ever seen them take up residence in a tree. In nature of course this would be their normal abode.
The tree they went in to was a one hundred year old palm tree.
