Busy bees

A sort out the hives beekeeping day today. I lost one hive in the autumn . It was a queenless colony and the dreaded wax moth took over.
The other four were fine earlier in the year but gradually three of them stopped being active. When we looked, there were very few live bees in one hive and none in the other two. We must look into what happened. This lot had taken a novel approach to expanding house! They did have room indoors
