Hide and seek
under Concorde was a different sort of playground for today. And not any old Concorde, this old Concorde was the first one to carry 100 passengers at twice the speed of sound. Woke up to pouring rain so packed up and head homeward via the Brooklands Museum at Weybridge. Which was where we found this. I knew Carl would love it (being the jetfuel head* he is) but I was pleasantly surprised by how much the kids and I did. In that slightly marvellous kiddie way Anna declared it one of her best days ever..!
Headed back to Chiswick in time for lunch in our now favourite pub by the river where we managed to pass a happy few hours eating roast dinners, yorkshire puddings the size of the kids' heads and playing cards before pealing ourselves home for unpacking and getting ourselves sorted for a work and school day.
Lovely to visit the countryside. Delighted we had a sunny day for walking around the woods. Marvellous to have a chilled out weekend in a hotel with the four of us after the last three weekends of birthdays, parties and houseguests.
And very great to be home
