Camp Day 1

The Brownies and Cubs started arriving just before 9.30am. 19 of them, plus 3 Scouts, 2 Explorers and 2 ‘extras’. My charges included a very recently diagnosed type 1 diabetic so there’s going to be some vertical learning as I’m the one responsible for keeping her blood sugar in the right place!!

A mostly dry day despite the forecast meant we could make full use of the play park next door in between making devil sticks, poys and juggling balls. After tea, the children put on a circus show for us which was great fun!

All in bed and quiet by midnight. Fingers crossed for a quiet night...
