A day of two voices. The good news: the first Mrs J has lost hers. The better news: a young mezzo soprano, Abi Jenkins from Scunthorpe, whose "A" level exams start next Monday, sang a beautiful Bernstein-based lunchtime concert. She is a pocket-sized natural performer with a lovely voice and the most expressive eyes. Her rightly proud grandparents travelled from Solihull to be part of the audience of eighty-odd for this, her first solo recital.
