Bambi, Blipper and Rona.

After a stroll round Linlithgow Loch (See MaggieD) we went up to Beecraigs Country Park to see how "the Roar" was getting on. In truth, there was not a lot of roaring happening. It looked to me as if the breeding stags had been put into separate fields along with their harems. It also looked like they had had their antlers removed, presumably for safety.
We found this wee character just at the edge of the park with a very hairy long-horned highland cow for company. This youngster was very friendly and was quite happy to stick around and be "Oooh"ed and "Aah"ed over. The park staff had seen fit to put up a notice asking visitors not to feed or pat the wee thing as they wanted to keep him/her as wild as possible.
Time now to take Rona for her last walk a) before it gets too dark, and
b) before settling down in front of the "box".
Not only Strictly and Downton but also Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow. I'm quite happy with that.
Monday tomorrow; enjoy the remains of the weekend.
