Mama & Son

I was treated to a sweet scene this afternoon. I hung the bark butter feeder out today for the first time in a while (bears... raccoons...) and was lucky enough to catch sight of a Mama downy woodpecker arriving with her young son, and showing him the ropes, plus feeding him herself.
